Lewis Hamilton prepares for a difficult Australian GP

Lewis Hamilton lines up second on the grid in Melbourne, and awaits the start of the Grand Prix. Both McLaren drivers showed improved pace over their winter testing times and after qualifying on Saturday, were both quite buoyant about what they could achieve in the race.
The Red Bull's pace was difficult to overcome and Hamilton sustained some front wing damage in the midst of the race that held him back. He was impressive enough to contain the situation, though, and take a very valuable second place.
Afterwards, Hamilton talked of his long game plan: "...it's a good starting point, especially given we never really thought we'd be in such a strong position so early on in the season. Before the race, I'd said that it was important to get some points on the board early in the season. I think it's already pretty clear that it's going to be a long and tough championship, so you can't afford to drop points. Every race is going to be important..."
