Nick Heidfeld returns to F1 in style at the Singapore Grand Prix. The lights shone down brightly on the returning German, who spent his year bouncing from one job to another. Nick began 2010 as third driver for the all-German team Mercedes GP, but was released from his contract there to join Pirelli.

He did a lot of tyre testing for the incoming supplier, but left there to return to racing with his old team. He competed in the five remaining races, with a single retirement in Singapore, six points over Japan and Korea, and race finishes in Brazil and Abu Dhabi.
