Paul di Resta feels the pressure after curtailed Free Practice running in Singapore

Paul di Resta endured a difficult Free Practice day in Singapore, with curtailed running in the first session and mechanical troubles in the second.
FP1 was reduced to an hour after the start was delayed due to problems with the kerbs at two of the corners on track. When running did begin, Di Resta completed 13 laps, but he could only manage 8 more tours of the circuit in FP2 after some braking problems.
Talking about the difficulties, the Force India driver said: "If anywhere was crucial to get laps, it is around here... It's not going to be an easy task, but you have to deal with these situations. The guys worked hard to try and get the car out in time so big credit to them for doing that in this heat."
Today's disappointment will be compounded by the fact that reserve driver Nico Hülkenberg had to step aside to give the race drivers time to practice - but that has not been as useful as it should be. Earlier in the week, the German tweeted: "I will not drive in FP1 in Singapore cause the team wants to give Adrian and Paul more track time and I understand and accept the decision."
Now, Di Resta goes into qualifying with just over 20 laps experience of the Singapore street circuit. He's feeling realistic about the whole thing, and not building his hopes up: "I have no tyre wear data and no idea of the balance for the start of the race. I've just got to go with the baseline setup tomorrow morning. I've got an idea of the track. It's very technical and there's a lot to it. It's about building confidence as, like Monaco, there's not much room for error and you have to get close tot he walls to get the maximum from the car."
