Kimi Räikkönen performed well in the opening round of the World Rally Championship, finishing 8th out of 10 runners in Hagfors, Sweden.

For the 2011 season, Kimi is racing under his own team ICE 1 Racing, and is participating in a Citroën DS3. He made a good start to the event, finishing in the top six on several occasions, but was in eighth by the time the Hagfors rally came to a close.

Ford took all three spots on the podium, with Mikko Hirvonen taking the win and an early lead in the championship.
